The new season of Pokemon Go began yesterday. And apparently, it seems like it is somewhat connected to the yet-to-be-released Pokemon Legends: Arceus game for Nintendo Switch.
The next season is officially called the Season Of Heritage, as announced on Pokemon Go’s official Twitter account. And seemingly it will “look to the past for answers that will help guide us into the future of Pokemon Go!” Over the course of the season, players will help Professor Willow unravel the mystery behind a large door sealed by “a set of strange unlocking mechanisms.”
The Pokemon Go Season Of Heritage logo is the most noticeable thing about the whole season. Surprisingly, it is similar to the, as mentioned earlier, Pokemon Legends Game, which is to be released on January 28th, 2022. The whole game is set in an era before Pokemon brilliant Diamond, and Shining Pear, way before when Sinnoh region was recognized as Hisui and pokemon trainers were not a thing.

The Main and exciting part of Pokemon Legends is the newly discovered pokemon, the legendary Arceus which is said to be responsible for creating the world. Other pokemon of its era have been introduced already in the games, but this one is yet to be explored. Fans are eagerly waiting and hope that Arceus is to be revealed this upcoming season.
Monthly bonuses and research
Just like other games, throughout the new season, which will be active till March 1st, there will be new rewards to earn. However, in December, you get to earn double the amount of stardust for every first pokemon caught for the day of the whole month. Followed through, in January, something similar but instead of stardust, every player will earn double XP for the first catch of the day. In February, the players will earn double XP and increased Candy XL from hatching Pokemon eggs.
There will also be various Timed Research Challenges each month, followed by the monthly bonuses, of course. Completing these challenges will bank you rewards which include: Pokemon encounters and Special avatar hats.
